Temple gym was opened in October 1999 and was originally situated on Pitt Street in Darfield. After 7 successful years a change was needed. The gym relocated to Station Road in Wombwell, Barnsley. The gym is now easier to get, more central and free parking is available for customers
The gym boasts a number of N.P.A (Natural Physique Association) competitors. Damon Brown, the gym owner is just one of these people.
"I wanted to open at gym where the atmosphere is very social and friendly while also trying to encourage as many people possible to enter shows if wanted. So far a lot of people have done and it's given the gym a terrific atmosphere at a competitive tone. I think we have achieved most of what we set out to with the relocation but we are always striving to improve further!" Damon Brown
